Hartford Van Dyke born on June 4, 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii is a trained chemist, a mathematician, as well as a self-described “Non-Union (Commercial) Lawyer”. Hartford has gained a great deal of notoriety as a result of his theories of law and commerce but most notably, his commercial lien strategy of placing liens against law-breaking public officials. Hartford is well known for his controversial publications which began in 1972 with “Skelton in Uncle Sam’s Closet” and later such publications as “Silent Weapons for Quite Wars, “Warning, Surprise Attack Imminent” to Hartford’s Commercial Law Manual.
